Wilson Bikram Rai Biography

Wilson Bikram Rai is a very talented comedian and singer from Nepal who is best known as Takme Buda from comedy serial Meri Bassai. Born in Birtamod, Jhapa, Wison Bikram Rai family members consist of his father and his sister. Sadly, his mother passed away when he was only 9 years old and he does not have many happy memories of his mother. Wilson had a great passion for acting since his childhood days. He used to recite dialogues and do caricatures. His father was aware of this. So, he motivated Wilson to go for audition for a child artist and this was how Wilsonâ€™s acting career took shape. Wilson completed his school level education from Little Flowers’ English School that is located in Anarmani 4 Jhapa Nepal. His dream of acting in Nepali cinema industry took him to Kathmandu at the early age of 12. Things were not easy for him. Forged in the anvil of struggle, Wilson has evolved as the skilled comedy actor.

It was an act of Takme Budo, an Ex- Gurkha soldier which he performed in tele serial Meri Bassai that established Wilson Bikram Rai in Nepali entertainment industry. Prior to being starred in Meri Bassai, he used to host a stand-up comedy show in youtube entitled â€˜The Wilson Bikram Showâ€™ which earned him many loyal audience. Â The name Wilson was given to him by his father.

A multi-talented character, Wilson is an actor, choreographer and director. He has directed many short movies, ads and music videos till date. Wilson likes to describe himself as a simple and humble guy who lies to pull smile on othersâ€™ face. Wilson believes one needs to have a very keen sense of humour and one needs to keep himself up-to-date with all current aspects of society in order to be a successful comedian.Â We could not find if Wilson is married and what his name of his wife. He has already traveled more than 20 countries and shown his comic skills in Hong Kong, Korea, United Kingdom and other International stages.
